Product Description

OCTG Seamless Casing Tubing 9-5/8 BTC API-5CT J55 Casing Pipe API Well Oil Casing

The term Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) describes tubes that are used both onshore and offshore in oil and gas production or the upstream side of the industry. PipeSearch focuses on two main types of OCTG: casing and tubing. OCTG casing and tubing are key components in the completion and production of oil, gas, and injection wells.
The Difference Between Casing and Tubing
Sizing of OCTG is typically described in the measurement of the outer diameter (OD). OCTG casing and tubing can range in size from 2-3/8” to 20” OD.
OCTG Casing
Casing is used to stabilize the wellbore by lining the complete borehole that has been dug into the ground to procure oil. It is generally larger diameter pipe held in place in the borehole using cement. Casing typically ranges in size from 4.5” to 20” OD.

There are five types of oil well casing pipes: Conductor Casing, Surface Casing, Intermediate Casing, Production Casing, and Production Liner. Conductor casing is the first boundary between the surface and the subsurface, and it is available in sizes ranging from 18” to 36” OD. Surface casing separates the freshwater zones, offers protection from blowout, and supports the wellhead and blowout prevention (BOP) equipment. The most common size of surface casing is 13-3/8” OD. Intermediate casing is placed between the surface and the production casing and is available in sizes ranging from 13-3/8” to 16”. Production casing provides structural integrity and pressure control of the hydrocarbon-bearing sections mainly during the production of oil. Production liners can be suspended from the production casing or one of the previous casings, and they help reduce costs by eliminating the need to run the liner the full depth of the well.

Titanium Seamless Tube

Description

A casing pipe is a hollow steel tube that is typically rammed into place through the earth by using a hydraulic or pneumatic jack.
After being driven, the displaced soil is removed and the product pipe, or carrier pipe, is inserted inside the steel tube.
