Grade 1 Grade 2 titanium are the most popular unalloy titanium with high purity.
Commercially pure titanium grades have high corrosion resistance, excellent biocompatibility and good formability. They are classified based on their level of non-titanium elements and the resultant differences in mechanical properties. GR1 /GR2 have the lowest strength and best ductility of the four primary ASTM grades due to its higher level of purity. While grade 5 and gr9 are called titanium alloy, which are harder than gr1 and gr2 titanium.
