AISI 4130 Pipe is used for its corrosion resistance and strength in seawater and saline water applications. The material can retain strength and corrosion resistance at temperatures up to 500 degrees Celsius. The length of the pipes varies as single random, double random and custom cut to length sizes up to 13500mm. The AISI 4130 steel pipe can be produced as seamless, ERW, welded or fabricated with round and hydraulic forms. The pipes can also come with different pipe ends as plain, bevel and threaded. The material of the AISI 4130 steel tube is made up of nickel, carbon, molybdenum, silicon, sulfur, phosphorus and chromium. The alloyants account for 1.78 to 2.7% of the composition depending on the modifications of the material.
The ASTM A519 Grade 4130 Pipe is intended for structural and mechanical purposes. This is because the pipes have very good tensile strength, more than twice that of austenitic stainless steel, and good tensile strength. The minimum yield strength of this 4130 chromoly steel pipe is 460MPa and the minimum tensile strength is 560MPa.
